Student Summit learning 2020

On Sept 17, different schools in the Uru Manuka cluster chose students to be in the Student Summit 2020. All of the students that were chosen had to fill out a digital form of what they wanted to learn, there were 7 choices in 4 different sessions. One thing I enjoyed was how to submit a google slide, google drawing and bitable, for an extra, the presenters also thought us on how to post a google doc to. This is a doc I want to post.

The BFG

Once upon a time in a small village where a nine year old boy was wide awake reading his favourite book in the Orphanage in one one of the creepiest The Witching hours. Everyone was fast asleep except for the nine year old boy and his name was Jf. He was cold, so he went to the window and at that time he saw a giant human-like shadow and he was surprised, the giant shadow went into the light, Jf was frightened . He slammed the door and ran to his bed and with his blanket he covered himself.  The giant found out that Jf saw him, he came closer and closer to the Orphanage and opened the window and snached Jf out of the Orphanage. Jf didn’t like the hand because it was wrinkly and also gross from the seawet. The giant galloped somewhere no person knew about, there was a sign that said “Giant Country”. The giant went into a cave where he laid Jf on a tall table. The giant talked to Jf and said “This is a place for, but you have seen a giant like me so you have to stay here for the rest of your life”and Jf responded and said “If I stay here, are you gonna eat me?and Giant laughed because he heard that and said “Eat you, why would I do that, I never ate a human bean in my life” and then Jf said “Then why do I have to stay here?” Giant answered “If you stay there you’ll be telling other beans about giants and giants stay hidden, but you have seen a giant like me so you stay”and Jf said another question “Are there other giants like you”and giant answered “there are other giant like me but they gobble up beans”and that's when Jf never went back to the human world.

TURTLE PROBLEM - Creative Writing

 TURTLE PROBLEM

One fine afternoon on a Friday, a tiny turtle called tiny was crossing a highway near the park. In the park, there was a pond where his family lives. It was peaceful on the highway, no cars were going by. The only sound he could hear were children laughing with joy.

While crossing the highway, he didn’t know a car was coming. Tiny was hit in the shell by the right Tyre. The poor turtle was tumbling down a small cliff. Tiny turtle was upside down after that tumble. Tiny didn't know how to get up, but suddenly he had an idea. With all his strength, he was twisting and turning but he still couldn't get up.

Tiny tried and tried for half an hour. He was so tired he couldn't move a single muscle. It’s like Tiny was paralised by the look of it. He was looking at the light blue sky that was as blue as the ocean water and snow like clouds. Tiny rested for 5 minutes until he had enough energy to twist and turn again. Tiny twisted a lot and turned. After another 5 minutes he got up. He ran slowly with joy and wonderful thoughts of stories to tell his children.

I am a blue level because my narrative has an: Introduction, a Problem & a Solution in Paragraphs, including great word choices.
